Clemson football's opponent for the Tigers' first ACC road trip in Week 4 of the 2026 college football season will be wearing a different uniform combination than it normally does.
Cal football took to social media this week to unveil its uniform combination for Friday night's game in Berkeley. The Golden Bears will be wearing their alternate gold uniforms. The color is officially titled "California Gold" by the school. California will don its gold jerseys over gold pants.
A helmet combination wasn't officially revealed during the team's announcement.
It's the first time this season the Bears have worn their all-gold uniforms. The last time Cal donned this look was during last season's 21-18 win over North Carolina on Oct. 17 in Berkeley.
Cal wore
its traditional dark blue ("Berkeley Blue") jerseys with gold pants for its Week 3 victory over Wagner. The Bears donned a lighter shade of blue ("Blue Light") for their season opener against UCLA.
Clemson could, in theory, wear its traditional home uniforms for Friday's game instead of its all-white road look to make for a more colorful-looking matchup. The Tigers also wore purple jerseys over white pants for their first ACC road game a season ago at Georgia Tech in Week 3. Clemson has not made a uniform announcement for Friday's game.
Clemson-Cal is scheduled for a 10:30 p.m. ET kickoff at California Memorial Stadium. The game will be televised on ESPN. Mike Monaco and Jordan Rodgers will have the call of the game. Dana Boyle will report from the sidelines.
