The Clemson Tigers are looking to finish the 2026 college football season strong. That quest begins Saturday when the Tigers visit Doak Campbell Stadium in Tallahassee to face the rival Florida State Seminoles in Week 9.
Clemson (4-3, 2-2 ACC) fell in a 20-16 heartbreaker to Virginia Tech in Week 8. The Tigers led for much of the night but the offense, which ranks fifth from last among Power Four teams in total offense at No. 115 nationally, struggled to find the end zone again.
Tait Reynolds' 16-yard run in the third quarter was Clemson's only touchdown of the game. Virginia Tech used an 11-play, 69-yard drive and converted on fourth-and-1 with a 5-yard touchdown pass from Ethan Grunkemeyer to tight end Luke Taylor for the game-winning score
with 1:44 remaining. The Tigers lost at home for the eighth time in 10 games against Power Four competition.
Reynods was 20 of 26 but threw for only 153 yards. The Tigers were held to 288 yards of total offense and converted only three of 14 third-down opportunities.
Florida State (3-4, 1-3) had a bye in Week 8 but took the No. 1-ranked Miami Hurricanes to double overtime in a 43-35 loss at Hard Rock Stadium on Oct. 17.
TV announcers for Clemson football at Florida State

It's the second Clemson game this season the duo of Durham and Browne will be on the call for; the pair called the Tigers' 22-7 win over Georgia Southern in Week 2.
Durham has been with ACC Network since its launch in 2019. Browne, a former Southern California and Pitt Panthers quarterback, joined ESPN in 2025 and previously served as a color commentator for The CW.
