What is the story about?

Two Clemson football standouts had clutch performances in the Tigers' 28-20 come-from-behind win over North Carolina in Week 3, a performance that earned them weekly ACC honors Monday.

For the second straight week, Tigers kicker Nolan Hauser was named Specialist of the Week as part of the ACC's Players of the Week honors after going 3-for-3 on field goals in Clemson's win over the Tar Heels. Hauser was named Specialist of the Week for his 5-for-5 performance in Week 2's win 22-7 win over Georgia Southern.

The junior from William Amos Hough High School in Cornelius, North Carolina, is a perfect 9-of-9 on field goal attempts this season. He made a 49-yard kick in the first quarter for Clemson's first points before adding a 21-yard kick late in the second

quarter and a 22-yarder in the third quarter.

On defense, Clemson senior Will Heldt was named co-Defensive Lineman of the Week. Heldt recorded two sacks and three total tackles in Saturday's win.

Now in his second season with the Tigers after transferring from Purdue, Heldt has 10 tackles (eight solo) with four sacks through the first three games this season. Heldt also recorded two sacks in Clemson's win over Georgia Southern a week earlier.

Clemson will face California at California Memorial Stadium in Berkeley on Friday. Kickoff is 10:30 p.m. ET. The game will be televised on ESPN.
