A new name officially appeared on he Clemson football's ACC availability report Wednesday ahead of the Tigers' Week 10 game at Syracuse.
Starting running back Gideon Davidson is listed as out for Saturday's game. Dabo Swinney said earlier in the week that the sophomore tailback and former four-star recruit would not play against the Orange. Davidson has rushed for 528 yards and five touchdowns in Clemson's first eight games.
Davidson joins starting center Harris Sewell, who was ruled out along with left guard Elyjah Thurmon. Thurmon was carted off the field on a stretcher during the Tigers' 36-24 win over Florida State and stayed overnight in a Tallahassee hospital following a head-to-head collision with a Seminoles player early in the second
quarter.
Swinney said Monday that Thurmond was back with the team and in concussion protocol but was "doing great."
Adding to Clemson's injury woes, wide receiver Tyler Brown is listed as "questionable" on Wednesday's ACC availability report. Brown, who is second on the team in receiving yards with 332, led the Tigers with five catches for 74 yards in the win over Florida State.
Freshman receiver Gordon Sellars, who has missed the past two games with a concussion, remains questionable, as well.
For Syracuse, the biggest name on Wednesday's availability report was quarterback Steve Angeli, who is listed as "questionable" while backup QB Malachi Nelson is "doubtful."
Here's a full look at Wednesday's initial Week 10 Availability Report for both the Tigers and Orange.
