A second straight road victory would give Clemson something to build around entering the final stretch of its season. Getting it will require beating a Syracuse team that spoiled the Tigers’ afternoon last year and delivered another surprise last weekend.
Clemson heads to JMA Wireless Dome as a narrow favorite midway through the week. The Tigers are favored by 2.5 points as of Wednesday, carrying a -134 moneyline with the total set at 49.5.
Saturday’s noon ET matchup on ESPN2 brings together two teams fresh off important ACC wins. Clemson moved to 5-3 overall and 3-2 in conference play with a 36-24 victory at Florida State, riding three total touchdowns from freshman quarterback Tait Reynolds.
Reynolds provided the answer when the Tigers needed
it most. After Florida State pulled within five points, he escaped for a 79-yard touchdown on third-and-19 to help secure the win. He also threw two touchdown passes as Clemson earned its 10th victory in the past 11 meetings with the Seminoles.
The Orange needed their own late touchdown to finish off an upset. Steve Angeli found tight end Noah Meyers with 17 seconds remaining to beat previously No. 19 SMU, 30-27, improving Syracuse to 4-4 overall and 2-4 in ACC play.

That result adds another challenge to Clemson’s return trip north. Syracuse won last season’s meeting 34-21 at Death Valley, and the Tigers now have an opportunity to respond while putting consecutive wins together.
Wednesday’s odds have Clemson at -2.5 against the spread and -134 on the moneyline, with an over/under of 49.5 points.
