After the Clemson Tigers' 41-10 beatdown at the hands of LSU on Saturday night in Baton Rouge, Dabo Swinney announced during "Tiger Hour," his weekly radio show Monday, that defensive tackle Markus Strong would likely miss the remainder of the season.

"Strong is going to probably be done for the year, unfortunately,” Swinney said Monday. "He was our one big injury."

Strong was one of the Tigers' 11 transfer portal additions after spending three seasons with the Oklahoma Sooners and coach Brent Venables, Clemson's former defensive coordinator Brent Venables under Swinney. Strong played in seven games during his time in Norman and recorded 11 tackles (six solo) with three sacks.

The 6-foot-3, 295-pound tackle suffered

a lower leg injury late in the third quarter of Saturday's game. He was helped off the field without putting any weight on his leg.

Clemson football defensive tackle to return soon

Swinney also revealed during his weekly coaches radio show that senior defensive tackle Vic Burley would be reinstated from his suspension.

Burley had been suspended indefinitely following an Aug. 22 arrest for disorderly conduct.

Swinney noted that Burley would not play in the Tigers' Week 2 game against Georgia Southern but would be available for Clemson's ACC opener against North Carolina at Memorial Stadium on Sept. 19.
