Clemson’s trip to Florida State offers a chance to move past another frustrating loss, but the Tigers remain underdogs as Saturday’s kickoff approaches. The betting line has shifted slightly in Clemson’s direction ahead of a meeting between two teams looking to recover from disappointing results.
Dabo Swinney’s team enters the weekend at 4-3 overall and 2-2 in ACC play after allowing a late touchdown in a 20-16 home loss to Virginia Tech. The Tigers now head to Doak Campbell Stadium for a 7 p.m. ET kickoff Saturday on ACC Network.
Getting more production from Chad Morris’ offense remains a priority. Clemson finished with 288 total yards against the Hokies, and Tait Reynolds threw for 153 yards despite completing 20 of his 26 attempts. Reynolds also
contributed 63 rushing yards and scored the Tigers’ lone touchdown on a 16-yard run.
Florida State, meanwhile, has had an extra week to prepare. The Seminoles are 3-4 overall and 1-3 in conference play following a 43-35 double-overtime loss at Miami on Oct. 17.
Both teams could use a victory to steady their seasons, with Clemson trying to avoid a second consecutive conference defeat.
