The Clemson Tigers have a good opportunity to strengthen its ACC résumé heading into the second half of the 2026 college football season when Virginia Tech visits Memorial Stadium in Week 8.
Clemson (4-2, 2-1 ACC) defeated Charleston Southern, 37-0, in Week 7. Virginia Tech (4-2, 2-2) is coming off a 34-24 win over Georgia Tech at Lane Stadium in Blacksburg. The Tigers and Hokies are unranked in the US LBM Coaches Poll and the AP Top 25.
Ahead of Clemson-Virginia Tech, ESPN announced who will have the call of Saturday's game. Roy Philpott and Brock Osweiler will call the action from the broadcast booth at Clemson Memorial Stadium. Sherree Burruss will report from the sidelines.
It's the first Clemson game this season that Philpott will be on the call
for, and the first since the 2024 Clemson-South Carolina game. Philpott has been with ESPN since 2013. A Clemson graduate, he lent his voice to play-by-play for Tigers baseball and women's basketball for the Clemson Athletic Network before joining ESPN.
Osweiler joined ESPN as a college football analyst in 2022 after seven seasons in the NFL.
