Count George Pickens among the many Cowboys stars who had a less-than-stellar outing on Sunday night in the Meadowlands. The Pro Bowler didn't sound concerned about his multiple drops in Week 1, but Pickens says he's ready to put a better performance on tape this coming weekend. Doing so early with a splash play would sure go a long way in kick-starting a winning game plan.

And could Emmitt Smith's seemingly unbreakable rushing record actually be in jeopardy? The Hall of Famer himself thinks Derrick Henry has a real chance. At 32, the Ravens star is still over 5,000 yards away, but Smith says he sees several qualities that could extend King Henry's career to the point that the mark could be within reach.
Checking in on the Commanders, coach Dan Quinn has made it clear he wasn't happy with cornerback Mike Sainristil's play in their opening-day loss, and the team's latest practice-squad promotion could signal a secondary shuffle.
