The Dallas Cowboys decided they were going to let several key players rest instead of making their injuries worse. The club made WR George Pickens, CB Joey Porter and LB DeMarvion Overshown inactive for the Week 9 matchup with the Indianapolis Colts.
The game itself hasn't been kind to those who have suited up. While edge Donovan Ezeiruaku and RB Tyler Goodson have been able to return to the field, TE Jake Ferguson appears to have suffered a potentially troubling leg injury.
Making a catch deep into the third quarter, Ferguson's left leg went up in the air upon the initial contact from the defense. A second defender came in and crunched the leg, leading Ferguson to remain on the ground for an extended period.
Once he was able to leave the field,
he immediately went into the medical tent. We'll provide more information when it becomes available.
