The Dallas Cowboys offense finally got themselves back on track in Week 7 after a couple of suspect showings back-to-back. The club returned to their perch among the NFL's best scoring units, putting up 275 yards of offense in the first half and going on to score 38 points against Vic Fangio and the Philadelphia Eagles defense.
The running game tallied over 200 yards on the ground, but it did have a very noteworthy wrinkle. After head coach Brian Schottenheimer called out star receiver George Pickens for his run-game blocking early in the week, Pickens saw his snap count go down in Week 7.
Pickens played just 41 of 68 offensive snaps, 60%. He had been playing above 85% of the snaps. It was later announced that a shoulder injury was the culprit
for keeping Pickens out of the lineup on those snaps.
The narrative was that he was benched on run plays, but the reality is Pickens was a normal part of the offense through the first half, then played just six of 10 snaps in the third quarter and only three of 18 in the fourth.

Pickens' Practice Availability
Thanks to playing on Monday night, the Cowboys didn't have a normal practice schedule in Week 8. On Wednesday, they only held a walkthrough, so practice participation is just an estimate. Still, Pickens was listed as limited. In the team's two normal-schedule rehearsals, Pickens remained limited and was given a questionable game designation.
