The Dallas Cowboys have a strong roster, but it isn't the strongest in the NFC East. ESPN recently released their Top 100 players, and the Cowboys have five players included. The easy math says that teams with more than three representatives are doing well, as there are 32 teams in the league.
Dallas' allotment is heavy on offense, with four of their five players on the possession side of the equation. Only defensive tackle Quinnen Williams, represents Christian Parker's unit, slotting in No. 57 overall. The Cowboys' passing attack adds three spaces, with WR CeeDee Lamb taking the highest honor of all NFC East players, ranking No. 33.
Quarterback Dak Prescott is No. 38, wideout George Pickens is No. 46, and left tackle Tyler Smith comes in ranked
No. 88.
The Eagles' highest-ranked player, CB Quinyon Mitchell, slots right behind Lamb at No. 34. Philadelphia is credited with a much better offensive line, with Lane Johnson (No. 40) and Jordan Mailata (No. 48) ranking inside the top have of the rankings. DT Jalen Carter is one slot behind Dallas' Williams at No. 58, followed by RB Saquon Barkley (No. 63), slot corner Cooper DeJean (No. 71), and wideout DaVonte Smith (No. 93).
Quarterback Jalen Hurts barely snuck in the rankings, landing at No. 97.
The upshot is that the Eagles have the better defense and offensive line, and Dallas has the better passing attack.
The other NFC East teams are barely represented.
The Washington Commanders have just one representative, quarterback Jaydon Daniels, checking in at No. 61. The New York Giants have two trenchmen back-to-back: edge Brian Burns at No. 81 and left tackle Andrew Thomas at No. 82.
