Wednesday brought the first practice report of the Cowboys' short week, and with it, the first worries about who might be banged up for the team's next outing. Quinnen Williams, Caleb Downs, and George Pickens were among those limited with various new ailments to start the prep for Arizona. That comes as a pair of offensive players are sent packing to clear roster space, the team looks to notch back-to-back wins for just the second time under Brian Schottenheimer, and the latest power rankings show the experts aren't buying a Big D resurgence quite yet.
The NFL trade deadline continues to loom in the background of everything right now, and there's a new edge rusher being linked to the Cowboys. Could Yaya Diaby- who just intercepted a Dak Prescott
pass in Week 5- now become the answer to the Dallas defense? And in possibly related news, the Cardinals have reportedly set a price on their star edge rusher, Josh Sweat.
All that, plus Jerry Jones teases bringing a three-time Super Bowl champ back into the fold, and running back Miles Sanders is making a play to return to the Cowboys as well. Find out what he said about his football future as he works to get his DUI case expunged from the record.
In Arizona, former Cowboys receiver Jalen Brooks is out for the season, and his replacement has done some damage to the Cowboys in the past. Rookie Jeremiyah Love is working way back to the lineup, and he could have some scary new responsibilities. And is it time for the Cards to think about Carson Beck? Would they make a move against Dallas?
In other league news, the Chiefs are giving kicker Justin Tucker a second chance, and Colts wideout Josh Downs (Caleb's brother) wants out of Indianapolis. There's a sobering report out that paints a much bleaker picture than imagined when it comes to the NFL and CTE. And we take a peek behind the curtain at the unexpected ways that equipment managers keep their teams running, from helmet decals to... Jolly Ranchers???
