Jayden Daniels just can't seem to escape the injury bug. After a scintillating first half against the Dallas Cowboys where he was able to find the perfect rhythm between passing and scrambling, the final play of the first half may have done him in.
Working at the goal line and looking to tie the score at 17 going into the break, Daniels threw two incompletions on first and second down, making sure his club had a chance to score before the break. Head coach Dan Quinn eschewed the field goal and wanted to score a touchdown, calling another offensive play with just three seconds remaining.
In a condensed formation Daniels tried to move back from under center, but got his leg clippped, he tried to steady himself, but his left arm buckled under him.
Daniels remained down on the ground as the team's went into the locker room, eventually having to be carted off the field.

Daniels had his face covered under a towel as he rode off the playing field. Marcus Mariota is Washington's backup quarterback.
Daniels hyper extended his elbow last season, one of a myriad of injuries that led to him missing 10 games in his sophomore season in the NFL. To that point, he was having an extremely efficient game. He was 11 for 17 passing for 96 yards and a touchdown, while rushing for 69 yards in the first half.
More to come.
