An incredible sequence for the Dallas Cowboys may have given them the necessary cushion to plow ahead to their first win of the season. With the score 17-13, Dallas' first drive of the second half ended with a field goal after a sack on quarterback Dak Prescott. But it didn't take long for them to get a chance to push things further.
On Washington's very next play, Marcus Mariota, subbing in for QB Jayden Daniels, threw what looked to be a pretty typical screen pass. Only Cowboys rookie linebacker Jaishawn Barham, starting his first career game and wearing the green dot in place of DeMarvion Overshown, shot past his would-be blocker. Barham was able to get into WR Dyami Brown, and strip the ball from him on the tackle for loss.

Free agent LB Dee Winters scooped up the ball, giving the Cowboys possession. After a failed end around by Kavontae Turpin, Prescott fired a bullet pass across the middle, finding tight end Jake Ferguson for his second score of the game.

The touchdown pass was Prescott's third of the game, tying him with Tony Romo for the franchise's all-time lead with 248 for his career.
