The Dallas Cowboys have remained front and center in the NFL's landscape for the duration of the week. Following their final-second loss to the Baltimore Ravens
in Rio, team owner Jerry Jones predictably wanted to change the narrative. Late Wednesday night, he did just that when the club completed a trade with the Pittsburgh Steelers. Out went some future draft picks and in came cornerback Joey Porter Jr.The team needed more talent on defense, and the front office went out and got it. Sitting with a 1-2 record, the season is still more than salvageable, but only if their best defenders start living up to the hype. The player power rankings look much different going into Week 4 than it did in Week 1, with some players surprising and others disappointing.
There's a new No. 1 in the ranking, and it's through no fault of the former No. 1. QB Dak Prescott has been spectacular this season, but he hasn't been perfect. WR CeeDee Lamb pretty much has, catching 80% of his targets (20 of 25), averaging over 15 yards a reception and scoring three touchdowns. It's an extension of a ridiculous run to end last season.
In Lamb's last full 17 games, he's compiled over 1,600 yards on 110 receptions. Opposite him, sits wideout George Pickens, who hasn't had the start to the season many expected. Fans shouldn't worry though, coverages will return to focusing on Lamb in the near future, opening things up for the All-Pro. Pickens slid in the rankings, but not as much as players like Rashan Gary, Jalen Thompson and Kenny Clark. Here's a look at the biggest sliders and risers, and the full Top 40.
