Political ads have mercifully come to an end, but Dallas fans must continue to listen to a billionaire come up with answers for their failures as Cowboys owner Jerry Jones took to the airwaves to address his underperforming team.
Jones said he liked the direction his defense is heading and interior lineman Quinnen Williams has become everything the Cowboys envisioned when they traded away two premium picks for his services. The opposite can be said for edge Rashan Gary, whose consequences for costing Dallas a game included a stern conversation.
Also, after Dallas was involved in adding at the deadline in 2025, some have wondered if the Cowboys should blow things up instead and begin the rebuild. The biggest move would be to trade quarterback Dak
Prescott although the ramifications in doing so are startling.
Speaking of trades, the league has found itself in a frenzy as this year's deadline is expected to include a few big names. The running back market in particular has heated up with the Giants rumored to be attempting to land Colts All-Pro Jonathan Taylor.
Around the league, newest Chicago defender Jeffrey Simmons made an instant impact on Monday Night Football for the Bears. The Cardinals placed a couple starters on injured reserve after being lost during their game in Dallas, while the Bills released safety C.J Gardner-Johnson after serving a one-game suspension.
