The Dallas Cowboys' defensive coordinator is going to be on the sidelines on Sunday night after all. Early in the week, fresh off the mini bye that followed the club's ugly, Thursday night loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, owner Jerry Jones joined his weekly radio show. Appearing on 105.3 The Fan, he offered the insight that the embattled Christian Parker, was going to move off the sidelines and into the upstairs booth.
The idea was that it would allow him a better view of what was happening on the field, giving him a birds-eye view of the action to help dissect what needed to be done in the moment and overall. But according to Parker, who was available for the first time since the game, that isn't going to be the case. At least not this week.
In responding to questions at his mid-week press conference, Parker revealed he will "most likely" still be on the sideline for the club's Week 6 matchup against the Green Bay Packers in Wisconsin.
"we're still working through things but i'll mostly likely still be down [on the field]."

Christian Parker will likely not move to the booth as was initially said by Jerry Jones to 105.3 the Fan on Tuesday.#Cowboys
The Cowboys are once again sporting one of the NFL's worst defenses by most metrics. They are giving up an inordinate number of yards per play, points per game and heartburns per fan. Something must be done, but for now the primary change is that Mike Pettine, a veteran coordinator and play caller, is being brought in to help Parker distribute his message and work through in-game situations.
It's unclear whether Parker staying on the sideline is a defiance of the front office's wishes, control over not changing too much in one swoop, or the case of the owner talking before things were actually worked out by the coaching staff.
The only fact known here is that if the owner wasn't keen on relaying information in talking with the media, no one would have been wise to any consideration come Sunday night, or until a move actually occurred. Instead the impact of a move that may not ever happen, has been the talk of the town and the national scene.
These are the things people talk about when they discuss how there's always something extra to deal with when working for the Cowboys.
