The Dallas Cowboys' ability to slow Houston Texans receiver Nico Collins could fall on new cornerback Joey Porter Jr. Dallas can use Porter's aggressive coverage skills to shadow Collins across the field, forcing quarterback C.J. Stroud to challenge tighter throwing windows and giving the defense more opportunities to create takeaways. Porter Jr.'s arrival couldn't have come at a better time. If he can consistently handle opposing No. 1 receivers, it could go a long way toward helping Dallas turn around its defense.
On the offensive side of the ball, the Cowboys are hoping tackles Tyler Guyton and Terence Steele can hold up in pass protection against Will Anderson Jr. and Danielle Hunter. While Guyton has been one of Dallas' most improved players,
Steele remains the offensive line's biggest concern. Anderson and Hunter will likely target that matchup, making it critical for Dallas to provide help on passing downs and slow Houston's aggressive pass rush.
