The Dallas Cowboys and Baltimore Ravens are moving full speed ahead towards their out-of-town matchup in Week 3. As part of the NFL's international game program, the two teams are taking their talents south to Rio De Janeiro, Brazil.
For the past week plus, the conversation of the game has centered around the field surface, which has seen better days and has been the subject of scrutiny in recent futbol (soccer) matches. The concern is whether or not the NFL, which has taken over responsibility in recent days, will have things in shape to promise safe working conditions for the two teams. Ravens QB Lamar Jackson, the premiere dual-threat quarterback of this generation, weighed in on Wednesday.

The Ravens hold an all-time series lead over the Cowboys, 6-1, including winning the last two. Those matchups, in 2020 and 2024, had Jackson at the helm.
In 2020, Jackson defeated a Cowboys' team led by Andy Dalton. In that contest, he passed for just 107 yards, but threw for two touchdowns (with one interception). The issue is he also added 94 yards and another score on the ground.
In 2024 Jackson threw for 182 yards, one score and no picks, while running for another 84 yards and a second score. He was thoroughly outplayed by Cowboys QB Dak Prescott, who threw for 379 yards and two scores, while rushing for a score of his own. The Ravens prevailed, however, 28-25.
Through two games this season, the Cowboys have been punished by running quarterbacks Jaxson Dart and Jayden Daniels. Dart ran 11 times for 54 yards, while Daniels ran seven times for 69 yards before leaving the game at halftime.
If the field conditions are favorable, Jackson is looking at a premiere opportunity on Sunday.
