No. 13 Tennessee (3-0) will host No. 1 Texas (3-0) on Saturday at Neyland Stadium in Week 4 of the 2026 college football season (noon EDT, ABC).
Saturday will mark Texas' first game at Neyland Stadium and its first regular-season contest against the Vols. The schools have played three times during the Cotton Bowl in Dallas, Texas. The Longhorns lead the all-time series, 2-1.
Mark Stoops will return to Neyland Stadium on Saturday for the first time since Nov. 2, 2024, when he was head coach at Kentucky in a game won by the Vols, 28-18.
Stoops served as head coach of the Wildcats from 2013-25. He is in his first season as a special assistant to Texas head coach Steve Sarkisian.
Stoops compiled a 72-80 (38-68 SEC) record and guided the Wildcats to eight
bowl games and a 4-4 postseason record. He was named SEC Coach of the Year in 2018.
Stoops had a 2-11 record against Tennessee as Kentucky's head coach. He defeated the Vols in 2017 and 2020.
