Tennessee will compete in the 14th annual Coconut Hoops women's basketball tournament at Alico Arena in Fort Myers, Florida.
The tournament will take place Nov. 27-29. The Lady Vols are part of a seven-team field. Tennessee will compete in the Great Egret Division against Florida Gulf Coast on Nov. 27. Tipoff is slated for 6:30 p.m. EST.
The winner will face the winner between Houston and Creighton on Nov. 29 in a championship game slated for 6:30 p.m. EST.
The losers of the first-round contests will play in a consolation game on Nov. 29 at 4 p.m. EST. Streaming information for all games will be announced at a later date.
Oklahoma State, Washington and UMass will compete in the Blue Heron Division .
"We're looking forward to our trip to the Fort
Myers area and to competing for the first time in Coconut Hoops," Tennessee head coach Kim Caldwell said. "This multi-team event comes between a home game against UCLAand a road game against Virginia Tech, and it lines us up against some well-coached programs that have histories of success in their respective conferences.
"These competitive opportunities will test us and prepare us for the conference schedule that lies ahead."
