Five Tennesseefootball players were named to the 2026 Preseason Coaches All-SEC Team.
DeSean Bishop, Wendell Moe Jr. and David Sanders Jr. were selected to the Third-Team All-SEC offense, while Arion Carter and Ty Redmond were third-team defensive selections.
Bishop, a former walk-on, enters his second season as Tennessee's starting running back after earning Second-Team All-SEC honors in 2025. He totaled 1,076 rushing yards and 16 touchdowns on 182 attempts last season. Bishop became the Vols' first returning 1,000-yard rusher since Jalen Hurd in 2016. He also recorded 15 receptions for 135 yards and finished the season with a team-high 1,211 all-purpose yards, averaging 93.2 per game.
Moe Jr. returns for his second season at Tennessee and his final
collegiate campaign. An Arizona transfer, he earned First-Team All-SEC honors from the Associated Press after starting 11 games.
Moe Jr. has played more than 2,400 snaps and has allowed two sacks. He was also named to the Walter Camp Preseason All-America Second Team entering the 2026 campaign. Moe Jr. is on the Outland Trophy preseason watch list.
Sanders Jr. enters his second season at Tennessee after earning Freshman All-America honors last season. He appeared in nine games, including six starts at right tackle. Sanders Jr. totaled 480 offensive snaps and did not allow a sack in eight contests.
Carter returns for his senior season after leading the SEC in tackles per game in 2025. He appeared in 10 games, including nine starts.
Carter totaled six tackles for a loss, two pass breakups, two quarterback hurries, 1.5 sacks, one forced fumble and one fumble recovery in 2025.
Redmond enters his sophomore season with the Vols after earning Freshman All-America honors and Third-Team All-SEC recognition from the league's coaches in 2025. He started the final 12 games during his freshman season.
Redmond led the SEC with 15 passes defended and 12 pass breakups, while tying for sixth in the SEC with three interceptions.
