The NFL 53-man roster deadline is Sunday at 6 p.m. EDT. New York wide receiver Jalin Hyatt was released by the Giants, according to Connor Hughes of SportsNet New York.
"The Giants cut WR Jalin Hyatt, sources tell SNYtv," Hughes announced on Sunday.
Hyatt played at Tennessee from 2020-22. He finished his Tennessee career with 108 receptions, 1,769 receiving yards, 19 receiving touchdowns and averaged 16.4 yards per reception.
Hyatt is the first player in program history to win the Biletnikoff Award. He was a consensus first-team All-American and a first-team All-SEC selection in 2022.
Hyatt holds single-game records for touchdown receptions and points scored with his five-touchdown performance against Alabama in 2022.
He finished his career with
the fourth most receiving touchdowns in program history and also holds the program-record for receiving touchdowns in a season (19 in 2022).
Hyatt was selected in the third round of the NFL draft by theGiants in 2023 (No. 73 overall).
