No. 10 Tennessee (4-0-1) played its first road soccer contest of the season at No. 12 Virginia (4-0-1) on Wednesday. The Lady Vols and Cavaliers tied, 1-1, at Klöckner Stadium in Charlottesville, Virginia.
Taylor Cheatham scored for Tennessee in the first half. Her goal was assisted by Shae O'Rourke and Ines Derrien.
Addison Halpern scored for Virginia during the second half. Faith Broering and Olivia Rademaker recorded assists on the goal.
Tennessee outshot Virginia, 13-12, and the Lady Vols had six shots on goal to the Cavaliers' three.
Goalkeeper Cayden Norris had two saves in Thursday's match.
The Lady Vols had a 5-2-2 road record in 2025 and were unbeaten in four road nonconference contests. Virginia is the only road nonconference match for
Tennessee in 2026.
