Catholic High School (1-0) will host Anderson County High School (Clinton, Tennessee) on Thursday at Blaine Stadium in Knoxville, Tennessee. Kickoff between the Fighting Irish and Anderson County (0-1) is slated for 7 p.m. EDT.
Catholic has Tennessee recruiting targets on roster in 2026: wide receiver David Thomas, safety Brooks Johnston, safety Skylan Johnson and cornerback Braylen Gibbs.
Thomas is a 2028 prospect and received a scholarship offer from the Vols on April 1. The 5-foot-10, 161-pound wide receiver also has SEC offers from Oklahoma and Arkansas. Thomas is as a four star in 247Sports Composite rankings.
Johnson is also a 2028 four star (247Sports). Tennessee offered a scholarship to the 6-foot-2, 185-pound defensive back on March 2.
The Vols, Florida, Ole Miss, Texas A&M, Missouri, Kentucky, Auburn and Vanderbilt have offered him from the SEC.
Tennessee was the first school to offer a scholarship to 2028 three-star defensive back Skylan Johnson on June 4. The 6-foot-1, 190-pound safety has additional offers from Virginia Tech and Appalachian State.
2028 defensive back Braylen Gibbs decommitted from Vanderbilt and committed to Alabama on June 19. He is a four star in 247Sports Composite rankings. Tennessee offered Gibbs a scholarship on March 2.
