Minnesota defeated Milwaukee, 116-97, on Monday in a NBA preseason opener at Fiserv Forum in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. 9,147 were in attendance.
Former Vol Nate Ament scored eight points in 14 minutes for the Bucks. He converted 2-of-4 field goal attempts, 1-of-1 three-point attempts and 3-of-3 free throw attempts. Ament also recorded two rebounds.
Ryan Rollins led Milwaukee in scoring with 15 points, while Kel'el Ware scored 14 points and Gary Trent Jr. finished with 11 points.
Anthony Edwards led the Timberwolves in scoring with 14 points in 18 minutes. Minnesota led for 96% of the contest. The Timberwolves' largest lead was 21 points.
Minnesota outrebounded Milwaukee, 51-47, including 42 defensive rebounds. The Timberwolves also had seven blocks.
The Bucks will next play on Wednesday at Oklahoma City. Tipoff between Milwaukee and the Thunder is scheduled for 8 p.m. EDT at Paycom Center in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
