Washington continues its NFL training camp in Ashburn, Virginia. The Commanders hosted tryout workouts for 10 players on Aug. 1, according to NFL transactions.
Former Tennessee defensive back and returner Dee Williams was one of 10 players to tryout with Washington.
He was joined by center Gus Hartwig (Purdue), center Trey Hill (Georgia), guard Joe Michalski (Oklahoma State), tight end Chris Myarick (Temple), tight end Donald Parham (Stetson University), defensive back Eli Ricks (Alabama), tight end John Stephens (Louisiana-Lafayette), defensive back Kary Vincent Jr. (LSU) and quarterback E.J. Warner (Fresno State).
Williams appeared in 22 games for the Vols from 2022-23. He recorded seven tackles, one forced fumble, two receptions, 10 receiving
yards, 35 punt returns, 540 punt return yards, two punt return touchdowns, 13 kick returns and 274 kick return yards.
Williams averaged a school record 15.4 yards per punt return, breaking a previous mark held by Burt Rechichar (1949-51).
