TwoTennesseefootball players earned recognition from the Football Writers Association of America preseason watch lists for the 2026 Bronko Nagurski Trophy and Outland Trophy.
Ty Redmondwas one of 68 players and eight cornerbacks named to the Bronko Nagurski Trophy watch list, while Wendell Moe Jr. was named to the Outland Trophy watch list.
The Bronko Nagurski Trophy honors the best defensive player in college football. The Outland Trophy is awarded annually to college football's top interior lineman.
Redmond enters his sophomore season with the Vols after earning Freshman All-America honors and Third-Team All-SEC recognition from the league's coaches in 2025. He started the final 12 games during his true freshman season.
Redmond led the league
with 15 passes defended and 12 pass breakups, while tying for sixth in the conference with three interceptions. He totaled 43 tackles and currently leads all SEC defenders in passes defended.
Moe Jr. returns for his second season at Tennessee and his final collegiate campaign. An Arizona transfer, he earned First-Team All-SEC honors from the Associated Press after starting 11 games.
Moe Jr. has played more than 2,400 snaps and has allowed two sacks. He was also named to the Walter Camp Preseason All-America Second Team entering the 2026 campaign.
