Chicago extended offensive lineman Darnell Wright's NFL contract on Tuesday. The former Vol received a four-year extension through 2031.
"As we continue to build our team and develop our culture, we are excited that Darnell will remain a cornerstone of our franchise as we work toward creating sustained success," Chicago general manager Ryan Poles said. "Darnell has consistently elevated his play and the performance of his teammates since joining our team, and we look forward to his continued growth and leadership for years to come."
Wright played at Tennessee from 2019-22. He appeared in 47 games, including 42 starts, totaling 2,746 offensive snaps.
The 6-foot-5, 335-pound offensive lineman was selected by the Bears in the first round (No. 10 overall)
of the NFL draft in 2023.
