Tennessee (4-1, 1-1 SEC) defeated Auburn(3-2, 1-2 SEC), 24-14, at Neyland Stadium on Oct. 3 in Week 5 of the college football season.
Two Anderson County High School (Clinton, Tennessee) players were in attendance for the Vols' win.
Freshman offensive and defensive lineman Porter Bostic and sophomore quarterback, wide receiver and defensive back Kohbe Ward attended the Week 5 contest.
Ward transferred from Concord Christian School in Farragut, Tennessee, where he helped the Lions, coached by former Tennessee quarterback Steve Matthews, to a TSSAA Division II-A playoffs for the first time in school history. He was also an All-America track standout for Concord Christian in 2026, winning a Division II-A state championship in the 400-meter dash.
Bostic
has appeared in five games for the Mavericks this season.
Anderson County has a 4-3 (3-1 Region 2-4A) record. The Mavericks have an open date this week and will return to action on Oct. 16 at Union County High School in Maynardville, Tennessee. Kickoff is slated for 7 p.m. EDT.
