Los Angeles (14-25) defeated Washington (24-16), 88-82, on Friday at Crypto.om Arena in Los Angeles, California. 12,551 were in attendance for the WNBA contest.
Former Lady Vol Rae Burrell started for the Sparks and played 29 minutes. She scored 15 points and converted 6-of-12 field goal attempts, 2-of-4 three-point attempts and 1-of-2 free throw attempts. Burrell also recorded three rebounds, three assists and two steals.
Nneka Ogwumike led Los Angeles in scoring with 24 points in 30 minutes. She totaled five assists, four rebounds and four steals.
Cameron Brink was the Sparks' leader for rebounds (five). She played 26 minutes and scored 13 points.
Sonia Citron finished with 22 points to lead the Mystics in scoring. She converted 9-of-18 field
goal attempts and 4-of-7 three-point attempts.
Washington outrebounded Los Angeles, 34-23. Shakira Austin and Kiki Iriafen recorded 10 rebounds each for Mystics.
Washington led for 54 percent of the contest and its largest lead was 17 points.
