No. 24 Tennessee (2-0) won its second soccer match of the 2026 regular season on Sunday. The Lady Vols defeated South Alabama (0-2), 2-0, at Regal Soccer Stadium.
Freshman forward Ayva Jordan scored her first career goal with 26 minutes, 22 seconds into the first half. Kylee Simmons and Bella Smith assisted on Tennessee's first goal.
Junior defender Devin Davis also scored her first career goal for the Lady Vols on Sunday. Smith recorded her second assist on Davis' goal with 78 minutes, 41 seconds into the contest.
Junior goalkeeper Cayden Norris recorded her first shutout of the season. She totaled 11 clean sheets in 2025. Norris also had one save against South Alabama.
The Lady Vols outshot South Alabama, 12-4. Tennessee also totaled five shots
on target to the Jaguars' one.
The nonconference match had six corner kicks (Tennessee 4, South Alabama 2) and the Lady Vols were the only team offsides (three).
