Tennesseevolleyball head coach Eve Rackham Wattannounced MaryAnn O'Toole has joined the program as its director of operations.
O'Toole comes to the Lady Vols after serving as tournament director for 3Step Sports. She played college volleyball at Xavier and Bellarmine.
"We are excited to welcome MaryAnn to Tennessee and know that she will be a tremendous addition to our staff," Rackham Watt said. "Her attention to detail and commitment to creating an efficient, supportive environment will enhance the day-to-day experience for our student-athletes and coaching staff.
"We look forward to the energy and expertise she brings as we continue building on our success."
While at 3Step Sports, O'Toole planned and executed large-scale volleyball tournaments.
One of the nation's largest youth sports organizations, 3Step Sports includes more than 2,500 programs and serves more than two million athletes. As tournament director, O'Toole oversaw all aspects of tournament operations, including staffing, facility management and scheduling for multiple teams.
During her collegiate career, O'Toole played four seasons with Xavier before playing her final year at Bellarmine. In four years with the Musketeers, she totaled 639 kills, 815 digs, 90 blocks and 32 service aces. She earned two All-Big East Tournament honors after helping Xavier advance to the semifinals in 2022.
During that season, she recorded a career-high 249 kills and had 10 matches with 10-plus kills. As a freshman, she recorded 329 digs, which ranked second on the team. During her career with the Musketeers, O'Toole had 10-plus kills in 24 matches and posted 13 double-doubles.
During her final season at Bellarmine, O'Toole totaled 103 kills, 40 digs and 16.0 blocks, while earning ASUN Honor Roll recognition and had six conference matches with 10-plus kills.
O'Toole earned her bachelor's degree in Health Services Administration from Xavier in 2023 before completing her Master of Business Administration at Bellarmine in 2025.
