On Thursday, ESPN released its updated list of the top 50 players in the WNBA this season. Former Lady Vol and Los Angeles guard Rae Burrell is ranked No. 43.
"Burrell is one of several contenders for Most Improved Player," Michael Voepel of ESPN said. "The No. 9 pick in 2022, Burrell has spent her career with the Sparks and is having her best season. She is averaging 10-plus minutes more per game than in any previous season, and for the first time is averaging double-figure scoring. Burrell is a restricted free agent in 2027, so we will
see if she stays with the Sparks in their rebuilding process."
Las Vegas center A'Ja Wilson is ranked as the No. 1 overall player in the WNBA, followed by Caitlin Clark (2), Breanna Stewart (3), Olivia Miles (4) and Paige Bueckers (5) in the top five.
