No. 18 Tennessee (1-0) will renew its football series Saturday against Georgia Tech (0-1).
Kickoff between the Vols and Yellow Jackets is slated for 7 p.m. EDT at Bobby Dodd Stadium in Atlanta, Georgia. ESPN will televise the contest.
Tennessee's, 42-41, double-overtime victory over the Yellow Jackets on Sept. 4, 2017 at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, Georgia was the last meeting in the series. The game was contested on Labor Day.
Georgia Tech led, 14-7, at halftime and Tennessee won the game after Georgia Tech missed a two-point conversion in the second overtime.
Quentin Dormady completed 20-of-37 passing attempts for 221 yards and two touchdowns. He also totaled 13 rushing yards on two attempts.
John Kelly Jr. was the Vols' leading rusher, recording
128 yards and four touchdowns on 19 attempts. He also totaled five receptions for 35 yards.
Kelly Jr. scored Tennessee's final touchdown of the game on a two-yard run. Kicker Aaron Medley, who converted 6-of-6 extra point attempts, scored the eventual game-winning point.
The Yellow Jackets trailed, 42-41, after TaQuon Marshall scored on a 13-yard run. Georgia Tech missed a potential game-winning two-point conversion.
Marquez Callaway led Tennessee in receiving yards (115). He recorded four receptions, including two touchdowns.
