Ole Miss took part in SEC basketball media day on Tuesday at Hotel Wildemont in Birmingham, Alabama.
Fifth-year guard Talaysia Cooper transferred to the Rebels from Tennessee after the 2025-26 season. She represented Ole Miss at SEC media day.
Cooper discussed playing for Ole Miss head coach Yolett McPhee-McCuin.
“I have been in the SEC my whole college career, so just playing against her and knowing how she coaches her team, and how she holds herself accountable for certain things," Cooper said.
“She does not care about how you feel. She’s going to push you to be better, and she knows what you are capable of. I feel like once you have a coach that pushes you, you are going to trust her."
Cooper played for the Lady Vols from 2023-26. She also played at
South Carolina as a freshman during the 2022-23 season.
