Senior tight end Ethan Davis will miss the remainder of the 2026 football season with an ACL injury. He suffered the injury in Week 2 at Georgia Tech.
Davis announced Monday he will return to Tennessee in 2027 for a fifth season.
"Still food on the table," Davis announced. "Last ride Vol nation. I’ll bleed orange and white 25/8, let’s make it count!"
Tennessee head coach Josh Heupel discussed Davis' injury on Sept. 14.
"A few guys during the course of play that, you know, may have been out for a little bit or didn't finish, but hopeful for most of those guys," Heupel said. "Obviously, Ethan Davis, ACL injury, will be gone for the remainder of the year."
The 6-foot-5, 247-pound tight end appeared in two contests this season for the Vols. He recorded
three receptions for 43 yards and two touchdowns.
Davis appeared in 24 games, including four starts, for the Vols from 2023-25.
