Former Tennessee quarterback Joshua Dobbswill sign a contract with Detroit, according to Mike Garafolo of NFL Network.

Dobbs, who played for New Englandlast season, is signing a one-year contract with the Lions worth $1.425 million and $475,000 fully guaranteed. 2026 will be Dobbs' second stint with Detroit.

He was selected by Pittsburgh in the fourth round of the 2017 NFL draft (135th overall). In the NFL, the former Vol also played for Jacksonville, Cleveland, Detroit, Tennessee, Arizona, Minnesota and SanFrancisco.

Dobbs has appeared in 27 career NFL games and has completed 351-of-559 passing attempts for 3,346 yards and 17 touchdowns and 15 interceptions. He has also totaled 515 rushing yards and eight rushing touchdowns on 110 attempts.

The

former Vol started the final two games in 2022 for the Titans. He played at Tennessee from 2013-16 under head coach Butch Jones.

Dobbs totaled 7,138 passing yards, 53 passing touchdowns, 2,160 rushing yards, 32 rushing touchdowns, 62 receiving yards and two receiving touchdowns with the Vols.
