No. 1 Texas (4-0, 1-0 SEC) senior quarterback Arch Manning led the Longhorns to a, 20-17, top-15 road victory at No. 13 Tennessee (3-1, 0-1 SEC) in Week 4.
He completed 14-of-19 passing attempts for 201 yards and one interception, while recording negative one rushing yard on 11 attempts.
Manning discussed Tennessee's defense and the Vols' pass rush after the game.
"They’re a good defense, well coached, so it was definitely frustrating," he said.
The Longhorns have defeated Ohio State and Tennessee through four weeks of the 2026 football season. Both wins were by a combined four points.
“I think just being in these big-time close games is going to help us going forward because we have a lot of big games coming up in the schedule," Manning said.
Texas
finished its SEC opener with 262 yards (201 passing, 61 rushing). The Vols totaled six sacks, 10 tackles for a loss, one interception, two pass break-ups and two quarterback hurries.
