The 2026 NFL regular season will kick off Wednesday with a Super Bowl rematch between Seattle and New England.
Kickoff between the Seahawks and Patriots is slated for 8:20 p.m. EDT at Lumen Field in Seattle, Washington (NBC).
The second game of the NFL season will feature the Rams and 49ers on Thursday. The Los Angeles-San Francisco matchup will take place at Melbourne Cricket Ground in Melbourne, Australia (8:35 p.m. EDT, Netflix).
Former Vol and Los Angeles linebacker Byron Young was listed on the Rams' injury report ahead of their season opener.
He did not participate in Tuesday's practice. Young's status on Tuesday was listed as not injury related - resting player.
He was selected by the Rams in the third round of the 2023 NFL draft (No. 77 overall).
Young played at Tennessee from 2021-22 under head coach Josh Heupel after transferring from Georgia Military College. The former Vol earned All-SEC honors in 2022.
In 24 games, including 21 starts, Young recorded 83 tackles, 23.5 tackles for a loss, 12.5 sacks, one interception and two pass deflections.
