John Harbaugh is in his first NFL training camp with the Giants.
New York held a tryout for eight players on Tuesday, including former Tennessee defensive back and returner Dee Williams, according to NFL transactions.
The Giants also had a workout with guard Darrian Dalcourt (Alabama), center Wesley French (Western Michigan), guard Brenden Jaimes (Nebraska), defensive back D.J. James (Auburn), defensive back David Long (Michigan), guard Max Scharping (Northern Illinois) and defensive back J.T. Woods (Baylor).
Williams also had a tryout with Washington on Aug. 1.
He appeared in 22 games at Tennessee from 2022-23. The former Vol recorded seven tackles, one forced fumble, two receptions, 10 receiving yards, 35 punt returns, 540 punt return yards, two punt return touchdowns,
13 kick returns and 274 kick return yards.
Williams averaged a school record 15.4 yards per punt return, breaking a previous mark held by Burt Rechichar (1949-51).
