Michigan football is long out of the rankings after having lost two games out of five this season, but the Wolverines are not alone in surprising mediocrity any longer.
Several teams that were also ranked in the preseason and were expected to be much better have also lost two games. From LSU to Oregon, there have been some shocking starts to the season. And after a wild Week 6 where there were so many upsets, the rankings as decided by the coaches have changed dramatically.
The latest US LBM Coaches Poll is out, and of course, Michigan remains unranked. But now the schedule is starting to look a little different. Indiana did move up to No. 4 after barely beating Nebraska, Ohio State moved up to No. 6, UCLA (which is undefeated after beating Oregon)
is No. 12, and Oregon dropped to No. 25. Iowa is up to No. 16, and Oklahoma is now receiving votes after having taken down the former No. 1 Texas.
Here are the full rankings.
