Tyler Reddick turned what initially appeared to be a disastrous Kansas afternoon into an 11th-place finish. Reddick started 15th but struggled badly with the handling of his No. 45 Toyota and dropped outside the top 30 during the opening portion of the race.
Reddick fell as low as 33rd before the 23XI Racing team improved the car. He steadily charged back through the field during the second half and was threatening the top 10 before a slow final green-flag pit stop cost additional track position. Even with the setback, Reddick finished 11th.
The recovery earned him 26 points and limited what could have been substantial championship damage. Reddick remains seventh in the Chase standings with 2,171 points, 111 behind Kyle Larson. He lost ground
to the leader but salvaged a respectable result from an afternoon that once looked destined for the bottom five.
