Ty Gibbs is back in victory lane. On Sunday, Gibbs and the No. 54 team for Joe Gibbs Racing won the Iowa Corn 350 at Iowa Speedway, earning their second victory of the 2026 NASCAR Cup Series season. The driver of the No. 54 car had to hold off Christopher Bell, who had four fresh tires compared to his two.
Following the race, Gibbs discussed his big NASCAR win at Iowa. It marks his second career Cup Series victory.
"Yeah, I just had to keep my head down, gel up and stay with it," Gibbs said. "I appreciate my team, Tony Hirschman, all glory to Jesus Christ. Just people that want to support each other. We made a big step from last year, obviously, and I really appreciate it. But I really appreciate all my teammates too. I wouldn’t be here without
all my teammates as well, week in and week out, just help keep developing the program. And obviously we’re all up front for a reason. I really appreciate Denny and Chase and Christopher for all their help, obviously."
Gibbs now sits second in the point standings with three races remaining in the 2026 Cup Series regular season. It was a super impressive victory for the Joe Gibbs Racing driver. Now, Gibbs looks to carry his momentum into another short track at Richmond Raceway on Saturday night.
