Christian Eckes turned a 25th-place starting position into a runner-up finish at Kansas Speedway, producing one of the strongest recovery drives of Saturday’s Truck Series race. Eckes immediately began working through traffic in the No. 91 McAnally-Hilgemann Racing Chevrolet.
Eckes finished sixth in Stage 1 and third in Stage 2, providing valuable bonus points before remaining near the front throughout the final segment. He could not match Kaden Honeycutt’s dominant pace but capitalized when Layne Riggs hit the wall with two laps remaining. Eckes crossed the line 1.358 seconds behind Honeycutt and collected 48 points, second-most among points-eligible drivers.
The result erased much of the damage from Eckes’ difficult Chase opener at Bristol.
He jumped three positions to fifth in the championship with 2,115 points, leaving Kansas 82 points behind Honeycutt and only 10 points behind fourth-place Gio Ruggiero.
