Rinus VeeKay has been very impressive during the 2026 NTT IndyCar Series season. VeeKay currently sits 10th in the point standings with Juncos Hollinger Racing following the IndyCar weekend at Nashville Superspeedway. Now, the driver of the No. 76 car is being linked to an elite team in the sport.
Andretti Global could look at VeeKay if they pass on Marcus Ericsson and Dennis Hauger, as reported by FOX Sports' Bob Pockrass. The organization currently has Ericsson, Will Power, and Kyle Kirkwood under contract. However, Ericsson has been on the hot seat with the No. 28 team.
More likely than not, VeeKay would replace Ericsson in the No. 28 car if this came to fruition. The 25-year-old has earned an opportunity to race at one of IndyCar's top teams.
It is unclear if VeeKay is going to be the top option for Andretti, but he would be a breakout candidate in the No. 28 car.
