Brenden Queen moved forward from 21st to 14th in Saturday’s Kansas Truck Series race, giving Kaulig Racing another lead-lap finish. Queen began the event outside the top 20 but gradually worked into a more competitive position.
The rookie was one of several drivers who stayed out during the Stage 2 break, and the strategy briefly placed him inside the top 10 when rain stopped the event. Queen lost some of that track position after the race resumed but kept the No. 12 Ram clean and completed all 134 laps. His seven-position improvement produced 23 championship points.
Queen remains outside the Chase but sits 15th in the overall standings with 403 points. He is only one point behind Tanner Gray for 14th and 15 points ahead of Andres Perez de Lara.
Kansas continued a steady rookie season in which Queen has remained firmly inside the top half of the season standings.
