Jake Garcia followed his breakthrough Bristol victory with a ninth-place finish at Kansas Speedway. Garcia started second alongside pole winner Nick Sanchez but could not match Kaden Honeycutt when the No. 11 Toyota surged to the lead on the opening lap.
The ThorSport Racing driver remained around the top 10 for much of the afternoon, although he did not collect stage points. Garcia stayed out of the incidents that eliminated or delayed several competitors and completed all 134 laps. The result was less spectacular than his first career victory one week earlier, but it provided another solid finish and 28 championship points.
Garcia remains the highest-ranked driver outside the 10-driver Chase field. He leaves Kansas 11th in the season standings
with 501 points, holding a 36-point advantage over 12th-place Stewart Friesen. The top-10 result strengthened his position as the leading non-Chase driver.
