Erik Jones won't be going anywhere in 2027. Last week, Legacy Motor Club announced that Jones has signed a multi-year contract extension to remain with the organization. The driver of the No. 43 car will be joined by two new teammates, Josh Berry and Riley Herbst, starting in 2027.
In 2026, Jones was in position to make the Chase before a few wrecks took him out of contention. Legacy Motor Club was strong in the summer and it will stick with its cornerstone driver moving forward. After all, Jones is the face of Jimmie Johnson's NASCAR organization.
With six races left in 2026, Jones sits 21st in the point standings with a 90-point deficit to Shane van Gisbergen in 17th place. Jones would love to finish a the top non-Chase driver in the standings to carry
momentum into 2027. Either way, Jones is set to continue racing for Legacy Motor Club for years to come.
